Northumbria University is a PeerJ Institutional Member, providing unlimited publishing with no additional fees for affiliated authors. If you submit to PeerJ with a Northumbria University email (ending @northumbria.ac.uk) and are the Corresponding or Administrating author of the article, we will recognize you as eligible to publish using Northumbria University's Annual Institutional Membership.

If you are a member of the Northumbria University faculty but have an alternative email, please email authors@peerj.com when you have completed your submission and submit a request to use Northumbria University's Annual Institutional Membership.

Northumbria University has adopted an Open Research statement setting out the principle that research publications and data should be as open as possible, as early as possible. Authors using institutional publishing memberships must abide by the institution's Open Access policy; Work must be published under a CC BY licence, details of the publication and the author's accepted manuscript must be deposited in Pure upon acceptance.
