Dr. Ipsita Mohanty is a Research Associate II at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute
Her current research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms of nitric oxide signaling pathway at the proteome levels using multipronged approach of mouse genetics, ex vivo mechanistic functional study as well as high throughput mass spectroscopy techniques.
Dr. Mohanty has expertise in pharmacology, physiology, and proteomics with emphasis in intracellular signal transduction and GPCR signaling directed towards designing therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular disorders. Technical cognizance encompasses fields of Smooth Muscle pharmacology, Integrative Physiology, Contraction Physiology, Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatic Data Analysis (and related softwares) for Mass Spectrometry data and In-Vivo skills.
Jose M. Moran
Jose M. Moran, Ph. D., is currently Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department in the University of Extremadura, Spain. He completed his Ph. D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Actually he is a member of the Metabolic Bone Diseases Research Group in the University of Extremadura. He is a reviewer and Academic Editor of several international journals. Actually he combines both the research in the field of Metabolic Bone Diseases and the research in Research Designs and Statistical Methods used in the research in Health Sciences.

Sonia MR Oliveira
Doctor Sonia Oliveira holds a Licenciatura in Biology (pre-Bologna) and a Master in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Aveiro, where she also specialized in medicinal plants, toxicology, murine models, and spermatogenesis. In 2011 she moved to Australia to work in Reproductive Biological Sciences. She later explored the nerve-cancer connection in Cancer, namely in female cancers, and completed her Ph.D. in Human Physiology ( with a significant component in Medical Biochemistry and Neurophysiology) from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 2018. She then worked with biomimetic systems and nanotechnology in diabetes and stem cells. She explored multiple methods for primary and secondary cell culture, always with a keen interest in histopathology, cell biology, and rare disorders. Participated in >40 event(s). (Co-)Supervised MSc dissertation(s) and final projects for course completion of LSc/BSc. And works mostly in the area(s) of Natural sciences with emphasis on Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Neurosciences, Cancer, Reproduction, Toxicology, Biotechnology, and Stem cells. Also has collaborations in Microbiology, Biomaterials, and Communication and Information technologies.

Spyros Papageorgiou’s main scientific interests encompass biological and mechanical aspects of orthodontic treatment, giving emphasis in improving treatment outcome and reducing treatment duration and side-effects. His focus is on evidence-based orthodontics founded on systematic reviews with conventional meta-analysis or network meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials, clinical trials assessing the comparative effectiveness or adverse effects of different orthodontic treatment modalities, factors influencing the length and outcome of orthodontic treatment, sources of bias in clinical research in orthodontics, optimization of treatment mechanics to enhance their efficiency by investigating clinical scenarios with numerical (finite element) simulations, and the effect of health and systematic diseases on the biology of orthodontic tooth movement.

Albert Salas-Huetos
Dr. Salas-Huetos obtained his Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the Universitat de Girona (UdG) in 2009, his MSc in Cell Biology in 2010 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and his Ph.D. in Cell Biology (Cum-Laude and Extraordinary Doctorate Award) in 2016 at the same University (UAB). He joined the Genetics of Male Fertility group (UAB) as a PhD Student, and Human Nutrition Unit (Universitat Rovira i Virgili; URV) in 2016 as a Post-doctoral Fellowship. He spent a three-month Post-doctoral stay (September-December 2017) at Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico. In 2018, he joined the University of Utah (USA) and in 2020 the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard University; USA) as a Post-doctoral Fellow. Nowadays he is a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University for the Department of Nutrition, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Post-doctoral Fellow at Universitat de Girona (JdlCI). Currently, he is working on different large international multicentric projects related to genetics and epigenetics of male (in)fertility, and nutrition. The main contributions of his scientific activity are reflected in a total of 63 original articles (Q1: 51/63; first or corresponding author: 23/63) in SCI/JCR-journals (+ 5 submitted), and 3 book chapter (+2 submitted). He has attended 9 national/international conferences as invited (plenary) speaker and he was the leading author of 10 contributions in international conferences (+15 as a collaborator author).
Mirela Sedic
Dr Mirela Sedic (born Bauman) is Principal Scientist at the Institute for Anthropological Research Zagreb. She has authored over 50 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals including high-impact journals such as BBA Molecular Basis of Disease, Molecular Cancer, The Journal of Pathology, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Cancer Treatment Reviews.
She was the co-PI of international collaborative project with Functional Genomics Center Zurich in Switzerland (PRIME-XS-0000184 Proteomic profiling of retinal proteins from rat model of age-related macular degeneration 2012-2014) and the PI of the University of Rijeka grant “Screening and biological evaluation of acid ceramidase and sphingosine kinase inhibitors as a new class of anti-tumour agents” (2014 – 2017). She is currently the PI of the project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation “Dissecting the mechanisms of therapy resistance in BRAF-mutant colon cancer using an integrated –omics approach” (2019 – 2023) and the PI of the University of Rijeka research grant “Molecular features associated with BRAFV600E-mutated versus wild type BRAF colorectal cancer” (2019-2022). She is also the PI of the project No. 3238 - EPIC-XS 012: “Proteomic analysis of acquired resistance to vemurafenib in BRAF V600E–mutant colon cancer cells” (2019 - 2022) in collaboration with the Functional Genomics Center Zurich in Switzerland.
