I got my PhD from University of Agriculture Faisalabad with international fellowship at ARS-USDA, California. I did two years postdoctoral fellowship from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology (IGDB), CAS, where, he developed a novel protocol of discovering/haplotyping multiple genes simultaneously in a set of accessions in hexaploid wheat. Thus far, I have authored > 80research articles in SCI journals. My research interests converge on to bridging the gap between genome and phenome in cereals using latest genetics, genomics tools and editing genome using CRISPR Cas9 system in cereals.
