I'm new to image processing in pyhton and I'm working on a project assignment where I want to study silicon wafer impurities, areas with high lifetime and also to detect grain boundaries. Seeing an example would be of great help.

How to calculate the distance between a requested image and 100 other images then save these values in a table and sort this table

Paper links to GH repo saying that the full code for the image registration can be found there. But only a small register.py example code can be found under that link that has not the same code blocks like those being used in the paper. For example the ORB function is not to be found in register.py
