Summary
Dr. Mariacher graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2005 at the University of Padua (Italy). In 2015 she qualified as Specialist in Pathology and Clinics of Companion Animals (SPCAA) at the University of Pisa. Since 2013 she works at the Centro di Referenza Nazionale per la Medicina Forense Veterinaria (‘Italian Reference Centre for Veterinary Forensic Medicine’) of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Regioni Lazio e Toscana, where she deals with necroscopic examinations and microscopic analyses of evidence, in cases of crimes against wildlife and domestic animals. Main interests: veterinary forensics, wildlife medicine and conservation, veterinary clinical pathology, morphological identification of animal hairs.
