Summary
Awarded a First class honours in Functional Genomics and Stem Cell Science at the University of Sheffield (UK), I undertook a Medical Research Council PhD Studentship in the MRC Centre for Developmental and Biomedical Genetics studying neurogenesis. I transitioned into working with large healthcare datasets with the UK independent regulator of health care services, followed by postdoctoral research in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Nottingham. After studying lung cancer outcomes I joined the Division of Respiratory Medicine, offering analytical and statistical insight and support on a host of respiratory studies in the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre. Studies range from surveys and survival analyses, to molecular epidemiology.
